Agentic video editor

The agentic video editor that keeps every frame in your hands.

An agentic video editor understands your goal, plans the work, and makes real, reviewable changes to the timeline. Klipeo’s Vibe agent can cut, caption, clean audio, add b-roll, reframe, and prepare exports while you direct the result.

A real editing loop

From intent to an editable timeline.

Agentic does not mean one mysterious button. It means the editor can understand context, choose tools, act, and respond to your feedback without hiding the underlying craft.

  1. 01

    Bring the footage

Drop in video, audio, images, or a screen recording. For supported media, Klipeo can analyze silence in audio and shot changes in video; speech analysis runs when enabled.

  2. 02

    Give Vibe a brief

Ask for an outcome such as “remove pauses, add readable captions, and cut this into a 45-second vertical story.” Mention clips, tracks, or markers when precision matters.

  3. 03

    Watch the plan become edits

Vibe chooses the editing operations, runs them in sequence, and streams each change onto the open timeline. It asks when a creative decision needs your input.

  4. 04

    Direct, refine, export

Play the result, adjust any cut by hand, undo a step, or give a follow-up direction. Export the finished master or make versions for different formats.

What changes

Traditional control, with an agent handling the busywork.

Starting pointYou choose tools and build every step yourself. You state the outcome; the agent plans the editing steps.
ExecutionCuts, captions, audio, and layout are separate actions.A single brief can coordinate several timeline operations.
VisibilityYou see each change because you make it.You see each tool run and each change appear as it happens.
ControlThe timeline is yours to edit. The same timeline stays yours to edit, refine, and undo.

Where it helps

Capabilities

  • Remove silence, split clips, ripple-delete gaps, and tighten pacing.
  • Transcribe speech and add editable, styled captions.
  • Build reframes, punch-in zooms, transitions, and social aspect ratios.
  • Clean dialogue, balance levels, duck music, and add voiceover.
  • Suggest or generate b-roll, then place it in context on the timeline.
  • Run reusable Skills for repeatable edits such as a social pack or podcast cleanup.

What to review

Practical limits

Klipeo accelerates decisions and execution; it does not remove the need for editorial judgment.

  • A good brief and usable source footage still matter; the agent cannot invent missing moments from the original recording.
  • Creative taste is subjective. Review pacing, framing, captions, and generated media before publishing.
  • Long, multi-part jobs may pause for confirmation or continue in another turn instead of running unattended forever.
  • Some analysis, generation, and cloud rendering steps take time and may use plan credits.

Agentic video editing FAQ

What is an agentic video editor?

An agentic video editor turns a creative goal into a sequence of editing actions. It can inspect the current project, plan which tools to use, make changes, check progress, and ask for input. Unlike a text assistant that only gives advice, it works directly on the editable timeline.

How is agentic editing different from generative AI video?

Generative video models create new footage from a prompt. Agentic editing works across an editing workflow: organizing existing media, cutting it, adding captions or b-roll, improving audio, reframing, and preparing exports. Klipeo can use generated assets inside that workflow, but generation is only one tool available to the agent.

Does Klipeo replace the timeline?

No. Vibe and the manual editor share one composition. Agent-made cuts are ordinary, editable timeline changes, so you can drag an edge, restyle a caption, revise the prompt, or undo the result with Cmd/Ctrl+Z.

What can I ask Klipeo to edit?

Common requests include removing dead air, captioning a full video, cleaning podcast audio, adding zooms at emphasis points, suggesting b-roll, creating a vertical cut, grading footage, and exporting multiple social formats. Concrete directions usually produce the best result.

Can I use my preferred AI model?

Klipeo can run Vibe in the cloud, and its desktop workflow can connect to supported coding CLIs such as Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, and OpenCode. Model availability and cost depend on the engine you choose.

Does Klipeo work on Mac?

Yes. Klipeo is available in the browser and as a macOS app. The Mac app adds a native window, screen recording, local downloads, and a session that stays signed in.
