Klipeo now runs as a native Mac app.
What changed
The Mac app is a native shell around the same editor you use in the browser. You sign in once and stay signed in. It opens straight into your projects instead of a landing page, exports save to ~/Downloads, camera and microphone permissions go through the system prompts, and there is a real menu bar.
Sign-in happens in your default browser. You approve there, and a one-time link hands the session back to the app, so you never type a password into an embedded window.
The app hosts the live editor rather than a separate build of it. Every web release is the desktop release at the same time, so captions, exports, and AI tools show up on the Mac the day they ship.
How you'll experience it
Download the app, open it, and sign in through your browser once. Your projects are the same projects, so you can start on the web and finish on the desktop, or the other way around.
What's next
This first version focuses on making the editor feel at home on a Mac. Next we are working on drag-and-drop from Finder onto the timeline, and local recording that uses what a real app can do. If you hit anything odd with permissions, downloads, or window behavior, write to hello@klipeo.com and we will cover the fix in a later entry.
