3D zooms, camera layouts, and presets for screen recordings

  • recording

  • mac-app

Screen recordings can now zoom in 3D, switch camera layouts as they go, and keep a look you can reuse on every recording.

3D zooms

Select a zoom and switch it to 3D motion. The recording tilts toward a camera angle while the zoom holds, then flattens as it zooms out. Pick one of nine angles or Auto, which turns the side you're working on toward the viewer, and set the Strength. Generate zooms in the Record panel can add 3D zooms too.

Camera layouts

The Record panel's new Camera tab switches how your camera and screen share the frame for a stretch of time: Camera only, Screen only, Side by side, or Large camera. While you zoom in, the camera bubble now shrinks into its corner so it covers less of what you're showing.

Typing, masks, and sound

  • Speed up typing in the Keys tab plays long runs of typing at 1.5× or 2×.
  • Mosaic pixelates an area, and Hand circle and Hand arrow draw themselves on like a pen. You can drag a Magnifier or Mosaic straight onto the video from Draw on preview.
  • Click sound now offers Crisp, Heavy, and Slight.

Presets and watermark

Save current look as preset in the Canvas tab keeps your frame, background, cursor, and zoom settings, and Use for new recordings applies it to every new take. Show watermark adds your logo or a line of text to a corner of every frame.

In the Mac app

After you pick what to record, a bar at the bottom of the screen shows your camera, microphone, and sound with a red REC button, so you can set up first. Plug in an iPhone or iPad and the Phone card records its screen over USB. Every dropdown in the Mac app now opens a Klipeo list.
