Fairlight-style audio effects and a loudness meter

Every clip now has a full chain of audio effects, and the mixer measures loudness the way broadcasters do.

An effect chain on every clip

In the Audio tab, press Add effect to stack effects on a clip: De-esser, De-hummer, Chorus, Flanger, Pitch, Distortion, Modulation, Multiband compressor, Noise reduction, Echo, and a Dialogue processor that cleans up a voice in one step. EQ, compression, limiting, gating, reverb, and delay are all there too. Each effect shows its curve, turns on and off with a switch, and can move up or down the chain.

It sounds the same everywhere

The preview, the browser export, and the cloud render run the same audio code, so what you hear while editing is what you get in the file. The cloud render now renders clip effects too, as long as the clip isn't sped up or slowed down.

A loudness meter in the mixer

Open the mixer to read Momentary, Short, Short max, Integrated, Range, and True peak loudness on your actual mix, with Pause and Reset. True peak turns red when the mix gets too hot.

Ask Vibe

Vibe can now add any of these effects. Ask it to remove hum, tame harsh "s" sounds, shift the pitch, clean up a voice, or reduce noise, and it applies real effects you can see and change in the Audio tab.
