Screen recordings open in the Mac app's own editor

Screen recordings with zooms and a styled frame now open in the Mac app's native editor. Before, they always fell back to the web editor. The native preview and export draw them the same way the web export does.

Zooms move the same way

Zoom regions, auto zooms that follow your cursor, and the pans between back-to-back zooms play in the native editor with the same timing and spring motion you set in the Record panel. Exports from the Mac app frame every zoom where the web export does.

The frame around your recording

Padding, rounded corners, and the drop shadow render natively, on top of any wallpaper that is a color, a gradient from the background swatches, or an image from the wallpaper library, blur included. While you move or resize a clip in the preview, its handles follow the padded and zoomed frame.

Images the right way up

Still images used to render upside down in the native preview and export. They now appear the right way up.

What still opens in the web editor

A recording that uses keystroke badges, the frame inset, zoom motion blur, the cursor overlay, a device mockup, a window frame, film grain, or a shadow overlay still opens in the web editor, so nothing in your video goes missing.
