Set up a take in one landscape recorder, keep every take on your Mac, and get it back in the chat or edit you recorded from.
Set up your take
Screen Recording and Accessibility must be allowed before the recorder opens. Their separate checklist offers Open Settings and a draggable app guide. Enabling Camera or Microphone requests native consent when needed. Previously denied access needs manual recovery in macOS Settings.
The Record window has a native title bar for dragging and closing. Sources and devices sit beside auto zoom, countdown, and teleprompter settings.
Display and Window use the macOS picker, including Klipeo's own window. Area opens drawing overlays directly and requires a confirmed rectangle. Phone stays disabled until connected hardware is ready.
Keep the detail and controls
Recordings preserve native source pixels, including Retina resolution, at up to 60 fps. Bitrate scales with resolution. USB iPhone and iPad capture supports device sound and the selected microphone.
The camera has a short shape menu and bright resize grip, with a dim FPS caption below. Mirror video starts on. Turning Camera off cancels startup and releases the session before removing its preview. Resizing reuses the preview layer.
The flat recording bar starts above the Dock and accepts clicks while another app is active. Screenshots and other recording apps can see the recorder windows; Klipeo's own capture excludes its controls separately.
Land where you started
Takes stay in Downloads/Klipeo Recordings; nothing uploads when you press Stop. A take recorded from Home or a project chat comes back to that composer as an attachment with a decoded thumbnail, so you can write your prompt before choosing Start editor. A take recorded inside the editor lands in that edit instead of a new one, and plays straight from your Mac. Camera footage stays paired with the screen take as an overlay.
Record → Choose recording lists saved files in Downloads/Klipeo Recordings with duration, dimensions, and size. Select a preview or open the folder. Desktop controls do not offer extension installation.
Uploads only when you send
Recordings you attach on Home, from the Mac app or the browser extension, stay on your device while you write. When you send the request, the editor opens and the chat says it is uploading your file so the agent can see it; large takes go up in parts. A take you never send never uploads.
Extension takes no longer stop at 50 MB, and a take started from the extension icon opens Home in a new tab instead of replacing an editor you have open. Long Mac takes keep their cursor data, so auto zoom still works on a recording that runs for hours.
Adjust the zoom
The recording's auto-zoom choice and cursor data travel into the editor. A zoom-amount slider sets the multiplier for selected or generated zooms. Interrupted cursor pans continue from the camera's current position, keeping preview and export motion continuous.
