The Mac app feels faster and more like a Mac app

  • mac-app
  • performance
  • projects

Klipeo on your Mac no longer freezes when you go back to your projects, moving between pages is quicker, and the window behaves like a Mac app instead of a browser tab. Nothing about how it looks has changed.

Projects open without freezing

Some project cards used a whole video as their picture. In the Mac app that meant downloading the video before the page would respond, which could freeze Projects for several seconds. Cards now show a still frame from your clip, or the card artwork when the clip has none.

Moving between pages is quicker

When you go back to a page you opened in the last 30 seconds, it appears right away instead of loading again. Renders and Templates now show their layout the moment you click, and Account, Billing, Integrations, and Marketplace load their details faster. This works on the web too.

The window acts like a Mac app

In the Mac app:

  • Buttons and links show the normal arrow pointer. To keep the hand pointer, turn on Pointer cursors in Settings > Appearance.
  • Button and menu labels no longer highlight when you drag across them. Text you type, your editor text, and chat replies still select as before.
  • The page no longer bounces when you scroll past its edge.
  • Right-clicking the page no longer offers Back, Reload, or Open Link in New Window. Cut, Copy, Paste, and spelling are still there.
  • The launch screen goes away as soon as Klipeo is ready, instead of waiting for every picture to load.

Update the Mac app to get the right-click and launch changes. Everything else reaches you automatically.
