Credits & Billing

What a credit is, what each plan grants, what Vibe and generation actually cost, and where to buy more.

Credits are the one currency in Klipeo. Vibe turns, image and video generation, subtitles, and AI zoom all spend them. Editing does not. $1 is 1,000 credits at the base rate, and every price below is in credits so you can compare them directly.

Your balance lives in Settings, Usage at /settings/usage, and the pill in the header shows the same number everywhere in the app.

The two credit pools

Credits arrive as grants that land in one of two pools.

PoolComes fromExpiry
MonthlyYour planSet per plan, see the table below
LifetimeThe Lifetime plan and every top-up packNever

Spending drains monthly grants first, soonest expiry first, then lifetime credits. That means a top-up is only touched once your plan allowance is gone.

The Usage page shows this as up to three tiles: Total available, This month with a progress bar and a "Resets on" date, and Lifetime marked "No expiry". The "This month" tile only appears while you have an active monthly grant, and Lifetime only appears when that pool has a balance.

Expiry is not a monthly reset

There is no scheduled reset job. Each grant carries its own expiry date, and expired credits are cleared the next time your balance is read or spent. The reset date you see is the earliest expiry among your active monthly grants.

Unused credits roll over

When your plan renews, any monthly credits you have not spent move to the new period's expiry date, so they stay available alongside the new allowance. Rolled-over credits are spent first, because they are the oldest. If your plan lapses and a grant passes its expiry before the next renewal, those credits are cleared and do not come back.

What each plan grants

PlanPrice (USD)CreditsPoolExpires after
Launch offer$53,000Monthly30 days
Monthly$2020,000Monthly35 days
Annual$180240,000Monthly370 days
Lifetime$120100,000LifetimeNever

Annual bills twelve months at the nine month price. Its whole 240,000 credit allowance is granted once, up front, rather than in twelve monthly slices. The current /pricing page offers the Launch offer, Monthly, and Annual plans. Lifetime remains listed here for accounts that already hold it.

Prices are curated per currency rather than converted live. Klipeo charges in USD, INR, EUR, GBP, AUD, CAD, SGD, AED, or JPY, picked from your region and changeable with the currency select on /pricing.

Buying more credits

Top-ups are one-time purchases. They land in the lifetime pool, so they never expire, and they are spent only after your monthly credits run out.

PackPriceCredits
5,500 credits$55,500
12,000 credits$1012,000
32,500 credits$2532,500

Open the Add credits dialog from Settings, Usage, pick a pack, then Proceed to pay.

The buy button only appears at zero

The action next to Credit balance shows up only when your balance is 0. On a free account it reads Upgrade and goes to /pricing; on a paid account it reads Buy credits and opens the Add credits dialog. To top up before you hit zero, go straight to /pricing.

What credits are spent on

Every price below is the upstream cost at list price, doubled. The same margin is used for Vibe and for generation, so nothing is priced on a different curve.

Vibe

Vibe is metered per model call, after the call, on the tokens it used. A call is charged at least 1 credit. If the last step of a turn crosses zero, the charge is clamped to whatever balance is left so the turn still finishes.

Generation

WhatCost
Image, pro model300 credits per image
Image, fast model80 credits per image
Video300 credits per second: 1,200 for 4s, 1,800 for 6s, 2,400 for 8s
Subtitles5 credits per minute of audio, rounded up
AI zoomMetered on tokens, like a Vibe call

Any metered call costs at least 25 credits, so a one second job still covers the request overhead. Video resolution does not change the price today; 720p and 1080p cost the same.

What credits are not spent on

Editing costs nothing. The timeline, color tools, audio, effects, uploads, stock, and browser export are all free of credits.

Server renders do not spend credits. They are bounded by a daily count instead, on their own counter, so renders and generations never eat into each other.

LimitFreePaid
Server renders per day20500
Generation requests per day20500
Vibe turns per day20500

Each counter is a fixed UTC day window and resets at midnight UTC. Admin accounts are not counted.

Running out

A generation request with too few credits is refused before any provider work starts. The error names the exact cost and your balance, and says editing is unaffected. It carries the code credits_required and points at /pricing.

Klipeo emails you once when a spend first takes your balance below 500 credits.

Moodboard and Media studio generation failures

A Media studio job and its credit charge are saved together. If the job cannot be saved, its charge is rolled back. When a job fails, its failure status and refund are saved together; a temporary database error leaves the job eligible for a worker retry instead of recording a failure without its refund.

Cancellation does not always mean a refund. A fal job confirmed to be queued can be cancelled upstream and refunded. Once processing has started, or when the provider does not support that cancellation path, cancelling the local job does not return its credits. A late provider response cannot reopen a cancelled job.

Plans, receipts, and invoices

/manage-payments shows your Current plan with either "Lifetime, never expires" or an "Access until" date, your points balance, and a Payment history table with the date, plan, provider, amount, and status of every purchase.

Manage website purchases & invoices

Opens the payment provider's billing portal. The button appears only if you have at least one web purchase.

Manage Google Play subscriptions

Appears if you bought through the Android app. Google Play rows show "See Google Play receipt" instead of an amount, because Google holds the receipt.

Opening billing inside the mobile app sends you back to the app itself, since purchases made there are managed by the store, not by the website.

What a paid plan unlocks

Credits and a plan are two separate gates. These features check for an active paid plan: the Vibe agent, Klipeo Bridge, AI generation, collaboration, and capture from phone. An admin account passes the check regardless.

Image and video generation requests are the exception inside that list. They are gated on your credit balance, not on your plan, so any account holding credits can generate. The plan is read there only to pick your daily rate limit.

Everything else in the editor stays available on a free account.
