Generate
The image composer in the Assets panel, how images and motion are made, what they cost in credits, and where the results end up.
The image composer pinned to the bottom of the Assets panel makes new footage instead of finding it: a prompt, a model (Nano Banana Flash, Nano Banana Pro, or GPT Image 1.5), and an aspect ratio. Type @ to reference a clip from the project or your Saved library, or attach up to three reference images: use + → Upload image, drop or paste an image file, or drag a card out of the media bin. An uploaded image shows as a thumbnail in the composer and is added to the project's media at the same time. While the picture generates, a blue grid tile sits beside Import media in the Project grid and a small card sits in the preview corner; both resolve into the finished image, which is inserted at the playhead and saved to the Saved tab.
It writes straight onto the timeline at the playhead and spends credits. It needs an account: in the signed-out demo editor on the landing page it is locked and asks you to sign up.
Generate a still
Write the Director prompt. It takes up to 2000 characters. The placeholder suggests subject, lighting, and camera move.
Pick an Aspect: 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, or 4:3. Klipeo preselects the
one that matches your canvas, so a portrait project opens on 9:16.
Press Generate clip. The button is disabled until the prompt has content, and reads "Generating…" while the request is out.
The result is added to the project's media and inserted at the playhead in one step. Its name is the first 48 characters of your prompt.
Which model runs is your account's Image model preference in AI Skills
settings. It resolves to fal-ai/nano-banana-pro by default, or
fal-ai/nano-banana if you picked the faster one. That choice changes the price.
Turn a still into motion
Every generated image tile in the grid carries a Motion button. It sends the
image to fal-ai/veo3.1/fast/image-to-video with a fixed prompt of subtle natural
motion, gentle camera movement, cinematic. Defaults apply: 8 seconds, 720p, audio
on, aspect ratio taken from the source image.
Motion is queued rather than immediate. Klipeo submits the job, then polls its status every 4 seconds for up to 60 checks, so roughly four minutes before it gives up and tells you to try again. Nothing blocks while it runs.
When the video comes back, Klipeo adds it to the project's media as
<image name> (motion), measures its real duration and dimensions, then inserts
it at the playhead.
Motion needs an active paid plan
Submitting the job only needs credits, but reading the job's result goes through the AI generation paywall. On a free plan the poll comes back with "AI generation is part of a paid plan." and a link to pricing.
Where results go
Generated images are added to this project's media, so they show up in Project beside your uploads and can be filtered, labelled, and reinserted like any other file. They also appear under Saved, so another project can reuse them. Brand text presets (Headline, Title card, Banner bar, Price tag, and the rest) live in the Text tab.
Credits, limits, and errors
Media studio jobs configured for background execution keep their provider receipt so another worker can continue watching after a restart. If submission is interrupted before Klipeo can confirm that receipt, the job fails and credits are refunded instead of silently submitting the same paid request twice. Cancelling a queued studio job before provider submission also refunds its credits.
Generation is gated on credits, not on your plan. Any signed-in account with enough credits can generate a still.
| Request | Credits |
|---|---|
| Image on nano-banana-pro | 300 |
| Image on nano-banana | 80 |
| Motion, 8 seconds | 2400 |
Image and video share one daily quota, counted per user and reset at midnight UTC. Free accounts get 20 generations a day and paid accounts get 500.
If a request fails, the message appears in red directly under the button that started it.
